The past 10 days or so have absolutely flown by. 10 days ago it was horribly cold, but bright and the sun was out. You can feel the spring coming slowly, the days are getting longer and it is slowly getting warmer.
Monthly Archives: March 2013
Hello! The weekend completely flew by me, so I did not update on Sunday like I try to do. My little sister turned 26 on Sunday so we had brunch at my parents house that was absolutely amazing.
Here are some photos for ya!
And surprise! I have a stitching finish. I decided to start UFO Tuesdays back again at my Icelandic stitching group since most of us are doing much more knitting and/or crochet these days than stitching. So some of us are dedicating Tuesdays to working on our very neglected UFO’s. I finished this cute freebie from TraLaLa into a pincushion last night. Cute, isn’t it?
First of all, here is an article that was first published on my blog but got re-published on Purl Peterborough. Read and share!
Pattern: Vintage Crocheted Throw & Afghan by Churchmouse Yarns and Teas
Yarn: Trysil Garn Dalia in 5 colors
I did 12 color sequences from the pattern, so I added 4 more sequences to get the size that I wanted for the blanket. My sister came over last night to pick it up and she loves it! So do I, it was hard to give it away, but I am so happy that I could make this for my sister who can’t handle wool because of her sensitive skin.
On Friday I visited my very good friend Dóra with our friend Lilja. Dóra just came home from a 6 week long vacation in Asia so we had good food, good wine and looked at pictures and listened to her stories of her travels. Then we went out on the town.
