Colorful stripes

Ístex, the great wool company here in Iceland, presented six new limited edition colors (the top ones in the list) in their unspun wool for this summer. As soon as I saw the colors, I knew what I wanted to make out of some of them. I love love love colors, and I love working with the unspun wool, it is so alive and fun to work with if you are careful enough not to break it all the time. I had been wanting to make this sweater from the Pickles website (I love it, they have some fantastic free patterns there!). I knew for a long time that I wanted to make it out of the unspun Icelandic wool, but I couldn’t find the right colors as I wanted something bright! So, it all fell together with the limited edition colors. I went the same day as they were sent to shops to buy yarn for my sweater.

It took me about a week to finish it. Super fast and easy and I really, really love it. Have hardly taken it off since I finished it.
