When I got home yesterday evening from dinner at my parents house there was another package waiting for me. This one is from my fathers sister Bjorg:
I got two kits from Permin of Copenhagens Hardagner collection. One is a small bag and the other one is a small pillow/pincushion. One kit from Eva Rosenstand, a keychaine kit, Snowmen With Quilts by Ursula Michaels and Stitcher’s Wardrobe by Sue Hillis Designs.
What a wonderful package! I am totally at lost for words!
I also wanted to share with you a little biscornu that I did for my friend Tracy that I stayed with while I was at my stitching retreat in Texas. Here is the front, and here is the back. It is a tiny little thing but I think it turned out very pretty with the Six Strand Sweets floss in purple. Purple is Tracy’s favorite color so off course that is the color I choose :o)
Just when I finished uploading the pictures yesterday, another one came!
This one is from Edda S:
Three Friends by The Drawn Thread, 3 Crescent Colours Floss and a piece of fabric from Sugar Maple Fabrics called Angel Dreams. It is just gorgeous!
I am not sure what I will do with my day. I am probably going to the Flea Market with friends that are here from the States and then I am going to dinner at my parents house. Can’t wait as my mom is the best cook ever!
I will probably spend my evening stitching on the biscornu that I am making for the biscornu exchange in my Icelandic stitching group. So off course there will be no pictures until it is sent and receaved.
It is my birthday tomorrow (I am turning 28, eek!) and I am in a birthday exchange in both my Icelandic and International stitching groups. The birthday presents have been coming all week and it is so exciting! I have gotten 5 presents so far and more are on their way!
I took pictures of the ones I have gotten so far and decided to share them with you all.
DMC floss, a piece of Linen, Mill Hill beads and DMC needles.
Treasured Spring Sampler kit from Mill Hill and Bluebell Wood – Silk Gauze Embroidery Kit. I have never stitched on Silk Gauze and am very excited to try it out!
4 bobbins of Stranded by the Sea hand dyed floss, a piece of evenweave, a towell and a beautiful butterfly pin that she stitched for me since we don’t have any colorful butterflies here in Iceland.
